La Paz is located in the canyon, which makes it a perfect trekking city

We have been hiking this side of the canyon for days and we’ve never seen anybody… no tourists, no locals either!

At the very bottom of this photo is the city cemetery, a snowy mountain at the top, and plenty of good street food anywhere in between!
Because I got stuck in La Paz for too long (no wonder, it’s the best city in the world!), I didn’t have enough time to see the number one attraction of Bolivia: Salar de Uyuni. Here is a cool youtube video from the world’s largest salt flat.
Tupiza is surrounded with unusual rock formations
Yungas Road, also known as the Death Road – It has the reputation of the most dangerous road in the world, because of the number of yearly deaths of the commuters. We did a regular tourist activity – biking down Yungas. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as scary as anticipated. We thought the road is probably deadly only during the rainy season.

In La Paz, people use gondolas for public transportation. When I was there, in 2015, they had 4 of them. I was told now they got 9. The craziest thing about La Paz is nobody knows about this incredible city!
